Box Score ROME, Ga. — The Berry College women's basketball team jumped out to a 30-9 lead after the first quarter, cruising to a Monday night victory over the Wesleyan College Wolves. With the win, Berry improves to 2-2 while the Wolves fall to 0-4.
Madison Wilder led the way with 18 points and was followed closely by Jana Morning who scored 16 on a perfect shooting night. Eveline Parsons and Madeline Sandman also scored double-figures. The Vikings shot 52.4% from three-point range and forced 32 Wesleyan turnovers.
The team's dominating first quarter came courtesy of six three-point baskets, eight steals and a perfect 4-for-4 free throw shooting. Berry carried a 48-21 lead into halftime and outscored the Wolves 39-22 in the second half to secure the win.
Berry travels to Agnes Scott on Friday at 6:00 p.m.
