Box Score CONWAY, Ark. — Vanessa Belanger scored two goals on Friday night to lead the Berry College women's soccer team to a 3-1 victory over Hendrix College.
The win pushes Berry's record to 7-5-2 overall and 2-2-1 in conference play. Hendrix fell to 6-6-5 and 1-3-1 in league play.
Belanger put the Vikings ahead with a quick score in the third minute off an assist from Tori Toellner. She scored again in the 20th minute after a pass from Karsen Brantley. Hendrix scored off the boot of Hagan Griffith in the 51st minute to pull within one, but Brantley scored an unassisted goal just minutes later to secure the 3-1 victory. Maggie Jones played the full 90:00 minutes in goal, facing eight shots and recording seven saves.
The Vikings face Rhodes on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
