ROME, Ga. — Ashley McKee posted a career-high 25 points on a perfect 10-for-10 shooting night to lead the Berry College women's basketball team over top-ranked Southern Athletic Association (SAA) foe Oglethorpe University 74-65 on Senior Night.
McKee was unstoppable in the outing, hitting from all over the floor to help Berry close the regular season 12-13 overall and 6-8 in league play. Fellow senior Alex Kiernan also added 17 on 6-for-8 shooting, including five three-pointers.
The Vikings maintained an early lead, remaining ahead 39-28 at halftime. Oglethorpe looked to regain a lead in the third quarter, outscoring the Vikings 17-15, before both teams added 20 points in the final quarter to ensure Berry's victory.
On the night, the Vikings shot 54.9-percent (28-for-51), tying an NCAA Division III era single-game record. Berry also shot a season-best 10 three-pointers and led the contest in rebounds (34-31), assists (12-11) and steals (8-6).
