SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sewanee's Elizabeth McKnight found the back of the net in the 27th minute, as the Berry College women's soccer team fell to Sewanee 1-0 in their first Southern Athletic Association matchup on Tuesday night.
Although Berry outshot the Tigers 8-6 in the contest, McKnight's lone goal was enough to give Sewanee the edge in the victory. Her 27th minute goal came off a pass from Walker Poe, giving Sewanee the first and only lead of the game heading into halftime. On the night, Sewanee led the game in corner kicks (5-1) and saves (4-1) as well.
