MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – Kelsey McAnnally tallied twice, but the Berry College women's lacrosse team fell to Piedmont College 6-4 on Wednesday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Berry trailed 4-3 heading into the half after first-half goals from Keiley Ayers, McAnnally and Rose Blanchard (Ashley Merritt)
- McAnnally was then the only Berry player to score in the final 30 minutes of play in a strong defensive game from both teams.
- The Vikings led the game in shots (17-15) and ground balls (20-18).
- Berry also forced 22 Piedmont turnovers to their 20, while both teams won six draw controls.
- In the loss, Berry's goalie Ella Makin recorded five saves, while allowing six goals.
