Women's lacrosse downs Transylvania

ROME, Ga. -- The Berry College women's lacrosse team won its fourth straight game, 15-2, over visiting Transylvania on Saturday.

Berry moved to 4-1 on the season. Transy fell to 0-1.

Kelsey McAnnally led the BC offense with 5 goals and 3 assists. Claire Rosenberg (3 goals, 3 helpers) and Angelica Miller (3 goals, 1 assist) also had big days for the home team.

The Vikings led at halftime, 13-0. Berry led in shots (25-8), draw controls (12-7) and ground balls (11-10). 

Tori Alexander garnered the win and had 4 saves against 1 goal allowed in 46 minutes. Casey Born played the rest of the way and made 1 stop.

Jessica Bier and Rachel Harrison tallied for the Pioneers.

The Vikings host Illinois Wesleyan on Sunday. Match time is noon at Ford Field.
