GAINESVILLE, Ga. -- The Berry College men's and women's swimming and diving team travaied  this weekend for their season opener at Brenau University. Results

The teams are only a week into the official season.  Nonetheless, both men's and women's teams excelled under the circumstances. Brenau University, Columbia College, and the Life University women's teams were all in attendance. Berry's men's team participated independently in a time trial scrimmage.

The Viking women tallied 89 points and placed second out of the four teams.

"I'm very pleased to see the promising performances of both teams this early in the season," said Berry Head Coach Paul Flinchbaugh​. "The men and women have put in a tough week of training to kick off the 2014-15 season, and responded with exceptional times at the season- opener."

The Vikings have the Blue and White scrimmage meet next Saturday.
