Women rally to win at Sewanee, 65-57

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Emma Cook led four Vikings in double figures with 15 points as Berry College won at Sewanne, 65-57, on Friday night.

BC improved to 11-9 and 4-5 in the SAA. The Tigers dropped to 8-12 and 1-8.

Cook was 6-13 from the field and made three free throws. Maggie Trimble contributed 14 points and made four three-pointers for Berry. Mel McLean and Chanlir Segarra both had 13 points. Segarra also dished a game-best nine assists.

The Vikings, however, had to rally to defeat the Tigers. Sewanee held a 27-23 edge at halftime. Berry shot 57-percent and held Sewanee to 36-percent shooting in the second half. BC held a slim edge in rebounds, 38-37.

Paige Lowe netted a game-best 18 points for the Tigers.

Berry travels to Danville, Ky. to face Centre College on Sunday.
