ROME, Ga. -- Berry College will cancel its scheduled Southern Athletic Association game vs. Centre College this Saturday. The game will considered a "no contest" per NCAA rules.

The Vikings started the season with 14 student-athletes. Recent injuries have reduced the roster to below 14, the number of participants in women's lacrosse.

"Forfeiting is the last thing we want to do," said Berry Athletics Director Todd Brooks. "Due to safety of our current players, it's the right thing to do."

The Vikings will now have a 7-8 record and will be 3-3 in SAA Conference games.

Still be determined is Berry's participation in the SAA Championships, which are scheduled to begin April 20.
