Box Score

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Rhodes College defeated visiting Berry College, 71-46, in a Southern Athletic Association game on Friday night.

The Vikings dropped to 10-11 and 5-6 in the SAA. The Lynx improved to 19-2, 10-1.

Chanlir Segarra led the Vikings with 12 points and six rebounds. Megan Walsh and Tara Mullinax added six points apiece for Berry.

"We really needed our post players to score for us to be successful against Rhodes," said Berry Head Coach Stephanie Dunn. "We did a good job of getting the ball inside, but we missed too many shots. We were just 7-22 inside the paint even though we got the ball where we wanted it."

Lauren Avant came off the bench to lead the Lynx with 19 points. Rhodes had four players score in double figures.

The home team shot 39-percent (28-71) to 28-percent (17-59) for the visitors. The Vikings forced 13 turnovers, but committed 24. Rhodes won the battle of the boards, 49-43.

The Vikings play at Hendrix in Conway, Ark. on Sunday at 2 p.m. EST.
