Vikings Beat Methodist 20-11 To Finish 2012 Season On High Note

Box Score

Jenny Miller scored six goals and Kristan Dziurzynski added five more as Berry's women's lacrosse team closes its season with a 20-11 victory over Methodist Saturday in Fayetteville, N.C.

Berry jumped out to a 4-0 lead less than seven minutes into the contest and never looked back.

The closest Methodist would get was when they scored the next two goals to get to within 4-2. But Berry answered with five consecutive goals to go ahead 9-2 and put the game away.

Miller and Dziurzynski were joined in the scoring column by Elizabeth Flatt, who scored three times; Rachel Aiken and Kaylee Lane, who added two goals apiece, and Katie Harber and Claire Rosenburg, who each scored once.

Miller also passed for a game high three assists.

Methodist was led by Jasmine Stephens, who scored a game high seven goals.

For Miller, it closes a career that included 126 goals in just two years at Berry after transferring from Anne Arundel Community College.

The Vikings, who won five of their last six games to close the year, finished the season with a 9-5-1 overall record.
