Berry Scores Final Five Goals In 14-10 Win at Pacific

Box Score

Berry scored the game's final five goals to come from behind and defeat Pacific University 14-10 in a women's lacrosse game Wednesday evening in Forest Grove, Ore.

The teams were locked in a battle throughout the night. With the exception of a one minute, 55 second stretch late in the first half when Pacific held a 6-3 advantage, neither team would lead by more than two goals through the game's first 55 minutes.

Trailing 10-9 with just over 16 minutes remaining in the contest, Berry embarked on its game-winning goal spree.

Jenny Miller tied the score 10-10 with a goal at the 16:02 mark before Kristan Dziurzynski gave the Vikings the lead for good with back-to-back goals over the next nine minutes.

Elizabeth Flatt then put the game away with a pair of goals in the final 4:09.

Dziurzynski and Miller combined for 10 of the Vikings' 14 goals, with Dziurzynski tallying six scores and Miller four. Along with Flatt's two goals, Blair Shupenko and Kaylee Lane scored once each for Berry.

Kristen Dick led Pacific with four goals.

Berry goalie Taylor Martin finished with 10 saves. Pacific's Ali Loeb recorded 10.

Berry is scheduled to return to action Friday at Puget Sound.
