ROME, Ga. – Leah Hatheway scored two goals and Kristen Brooks added a goal and a pair of assists as Berry defeated Agnes Scott in dominating fashion, 7-0, Wednesday at Ford Field.
In addition four other players scored in the rout.
The Vikings used a suffocating defense to stifle the visiting Scotties, allowing only two shots, both of which came in the second half.
Berry led 3-0 at halftime, as Katie O'Brien sandwiched a goal in between Hatheway's two scores.
Hatheway scored the first goal in the 11th minute after collecting a rebound off Agnes Scott goalkeeper Ashley Watts, who saved a shot on a free kick from about 25 yards out by Keri McGinnis.
O'Brien's goal would come in the 15th minute on the first of back-to-back assists by Brooks, who also assisted on Hatheway's goal in the 21st minute.
The two goals gave Hatheway seven in Berry's first five matches in 2011.
Brooks would score a goal of her own about six minutes into the second half after receiving a pass from Kim Fischer.
Freshman Joy Pianka added on another at 62:45, her fourth in the past two games. Junior Allie LeFeurve made it 6-0 when she hit the back of the net at 67:52, her first goal of the season.

The Lady Vikings also took 15 corner kicks in the match. Agnes Scott did not take any.
