Box Score Berry's Kristan Dziurzynski and Jenny Miller scored three goals apiece, but Guilford went on a six-goal run to end the game and defeated the Vikings 15-8 in a non-conference women's lacrosse game in Greensboro, N.C., Saturday.
Berry trailed 9-4 with 14 minutes remaining in the game, but Dziurzynski and her sister, Anya, combined to score four straight goals during a three minute, 22 second stretch that pulled the Vikings to within 9-8.
Krystan Dziurzynski scored the first two goals during that four-goal run before Anya scored with 11:38 remaining. Kristan then added another goal on a free position shot that made it a one-goal game with 10:12 left to play.
But Guilford's defense would hold Berry scoreless the rest of the way while putting six more goals on the board to pull away.
Berry took 32 shots in the game, 18 of which came on goal. Along with Miller's and Kristan and Anya Dziurzynski's goals, Katie Harber also scored for the Vikings.
Berry goalie Taylor Martin stopped nine shots.
E'Leyna Garcia and Becca Colley led Guilford with four goals apiece.
Berry returns to action Sunday at Greensboro College.
