Berry ended the game with a 13-1 run and held LaGrange scoreless for the final three minutes of the contest en route to a 77-64 victory Wednesday evening in LaGrange, Ga.
The Vikings(9-6) clinged to a 64-63 lead with just under four minutes to go in the game before Tim Miles hit a jumper to give Berry a three-point cushion with 3:39 to play. LaGrange's Nic Whitfield would make a free throw at the 3:17 mark to make the score 66-64, but that was the last time the Panthers would score.
Miles led four Berry players in double figures with a game-high 22 points. David Holloman scored 16 points and joined Stefan Woods for team-high honors with seven rebounds, while Kendall Gadie added 13 points and Jonathan Abrams came off the bench to score 10 for the Vikings.
Whitfield led LaGrange (2-15) with 19 points. Steven Tuck added 11 for the Panthers.
The Vikings return to action Friday, when they host Rust at 8 p.m.
