ATLANTA – The Southern Athletic Association (SAA) has announced that Berry College's Abby Carroll has been named the SAA Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the first time this season.
Carroll, a junior, finished third in the Berry Invitational with a time of 22:26.55. That led the Vikings to a third-place finish. Berry scored 92 points finishing behind the University of Tennessee - Chattanooga (39) and the University of Georgia B team (65). In-state NCAA Division I member Kennesaw State (98) and Berea College (183) finished fourth and fifth. Only Emily Poole from UTC, and Brenday Ayuk, from KSU, finished ahead of Carroll.
The Vikings are set to compete at the SAA championships in Memphis on Oct. 27th.
