ATLANTA — Leading the Vikings to a 2-0 week, Berry College's Luke Koferl has been selected as the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
He finished the week with seven goals and three assists, helping Berry improve to 11-3 overall and 4-1 in SAA play.
Koferl started the week with four goals and two assists in Berry’s 19-8 win over Piedmont on Tuesday. Luke finished the matchup with six shots, four of which were on goal, and one ground ball, scoring two of his four goals in the final 30 minutes of play to ensure the victory. Koferl then added a hat-trick performance, as well as his fourth assist of the week, in the Vikings’ 16-9 conference win over BSC on Saturday. He finished the contest with six shots, four of which were on goal, as well as one ground ball in the outing.
He finished the week with 10 points for Berry, as well as a 58.3 shooting percentage and a 66.7 shots on goal percentage.
