Volleyball Clinches Share of SAA Title With Win Over Rhodes

ROME, Ga. — With a 3-0 victory over Rhodes on Saturday afternoon, the No. 20 Berry College volleyball team clinched at least a share of their second straight Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Regular Season Championship. The Vikings need one more win to secure the title outright and host the SAA tournament for the second straight year. 

Berry is now 17-2 on the year and 12-0 in league play. The team has now won 25-straight matches in the Cage Center and 29-straight regular-season matches against SAA opponents. 

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Berry was unstoppable during the entire match, playing their entire roster and cruising to 25-13, 25-20 and 25-21 victories. 
  • The Vikings hit under .200 as a team, but collected eight service aces and five blocks. 
  • Sarah Sprague led the Vikings with nine kills, helped by a team-best 12 assists from Cyrena Bedoian. 
  • Laura Beier collected 25 digs in the outing.
