Women's lacrosse lost at Centre, 13-9

DANVILLE, Ky. -- Kristan Dziurzynski and Sara Witten both had two goals and one assist, but Berry College lost in the Southern Athletic Association semifinals, 13-10, on Saturday.

The Vikings, seeded fourth in the tournament, end its year at 9-7. Top-seed Centre moves to 16-2 and will host Sewanee in Sunday's championship game.

Centre led in shots (27-19), draws (15-9) and ground balls (32-25). BC trailed 5-2 at halftime.

Goalkeeper Taylor Martin had eight saves in her last game for the Vikings.

Meg Hawthorne recorded three goals and dished four assists for the Colonels.
