Seniors lead women's lacrosse over Majors, 16-11

ROME, Ga. – Kristan Dziurzynski and Blair Shupenko combined for 10 goals on their Senior Day as Berry College defeated Millsaps, 16-11, on Saturday. 

BC improved to 8-6 and 4-3 in the Southern Athletic Association. The Majors dropped to 4-11, 2-5.

Dziurzynski tallied six goals and also had one assist in the contest and now has 50 goals for the year. Shupenko recorded four goals for the home club. Claire Rosenberg added two goals and two assists for Berry.

The Vikings led 8-5 at halftime. The Vikings led in shots (36-19) and ground balls (16-6). Millsaps led in draw controls, 15-14. Taylor Martin had three saves in goal for BC. 

Katie Isrka had four goals and JB Page scored twice and dished three assists for Millsaps.

At the half, Dziurznski, Shupenko, Martin and Sara Witten were recognized for their contributions to the program.

Berry will host Rhodes in a Southern Athletic Association quarterfinal match next Saturday.
