Women's lacrosse explodes over LaGrange, 24-9

ROME, Ga. --  Berry College netted a season-high for goals in its 24-9 win over LaGrange on Tuesday. The Vikings improved to 7-6 and the Panthers fell to 4-11.

Berry came out early scoring six goals in a row after the Panthers scored the first goal 51 seconds into the game. The Vikings then netted nine goals in a row to lead at halftime 15-3.

Kristan Dziurzynski led the team with six goals, with four in the first half. Dziurzynski added four assists on the game. Blair Shupenko collected four goals and an assist. Kelsey McAnnally and Clara Bissell tacked on three goals of their own. McAnnally led the team with five assists.

For the game, the Vikings shot a total of 50 times compared to the Panthers' 15. BC led in draw controls, 23-12.

LaGrange goalie, Kallie Brook had 11 saves. On offense, Kelsey Griffin led the Panthers with three goals and one assist.

The Vikings host Millsaps at 1 p.m. this Saturday. It is a Senior Day and there will be recognition prior to the game.
