Women's lacrosse rolls over Petrels, 16-3
ROME, Ga. – Berry College defeated Oglethorpe, 16-3, in Southern Athletic Association women's lacrosse action on Thursday at Ford Field.
Kristan Dziurzynski scored six goals and dished two assists for BC. Claire Rosenberg had three goals and one helper. Lizzy Jones netted two goals and one assist, and Angelica Miller scored twice for the home team.
The Vikings scored the first five goals and never looked back. Berry held a 12-1 lead at halftime.For the game, BC led in shots (41-7) and ground balls (14-7). Oglethorpe committed 22 turnovers to Berry's eight.
OU goalkeeper Paige Falkowski recorded 20 saves in the contest. Taylor Martin (5-2) stopped two shots and earned the win.
The Stormy Petrels dropped to 0-9 and 0-4 in the SAA. Berry moved to 5-2, 3-0.
The Vikings host Anne Arundel Community College on Sunday in the Travis Manion Foundation benefit game. The foundation assists our nation's veterans and service members and supports families of fallen heroes. All proceeds from this game will be donated to the foundation.
