Berry College wins and improves to 3-0

CONWAY, Ark. – Freshman Angelica Miller had three goals and four assists as the Berry College women's lacrosse team won at Hendrix College, 19-6, on Saturday.

The Vikings improved to 3-0—its best-ever start to a season—and 2-0 in the Southern Athletic Association. The Warriors fell to 2-3 and 1-1 in conference.

Kristan Dziurzynski tallied a game-best five goals and dished one assist. Teammate Claire Rosenberg had four goals and one helper. Blair Shupenko recorded three goals for Berry.

Raychl Reger scored four times for the Warriors.

BC led 12 -3 at halftime. The Vikings led in shots (29-19), ground balls (19-15), but trailed in draw controls (14-13).

BC goalkeeper Taylor Martin stopped eight Hendrix shots an improved to 3-0 on the season.

"Today we played a complete game," said Viking Head Coach Shaun Williamson. "The team is working really hard at practice and it is showed today. I am looking forward to our trip to Maryland for Spring Break."

Berry plays Thiel College on March 2 in a neutral-site game in Arnold, Md.
