LAGRANGE, Ga. — The Berry College women's basketball team rounded out play at the USA South/SAA Classic Sunday afternoon, falling to 2-3 on the year coming up short, 49-61 against Piedmont College.

The Lions started strong offensively, jumping out to an early lead and outscoring the Vikings 19-8 in the first quarter. Berry picked up momentum in the second quarter with strong points in the paint bringing the score to 31-20.
