MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - The Berry women's basketball team fell to Covenant 65-52 on Tuesday night after strong start to the second half.  

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The Scots shot 33.9% to the Vikings 30.0%
  • The Vikings were trailing at the half 32-22.
  • The Scots lead the game in rebounds (48-47) and blocks (5-1)
  • Both teams committed 20 turnovers

BERRY STATISTICAL STANDOUTS:

  • Ashley McKee: 8 points, 4-11 FG, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals
  • Alex Weems: 7 points, 3-10 FG, 9 rebounds
  • Christina Cerezola: 7 points, 3-7 FG, 1-5 3FG, 4 rebounds, 1 assist

COVENANT STATISTICAL STANDOUTS:

  • Aleigha Williams: 17 points, 6-18 FG, 2-6 3FG, 3-4 FT, 11 rebounds, 4 blocks
  • Joanna Smith: 11 points, 5-7 FG, 6 rebounds, 1 assist
  • Kaley Hallmark : 10 points, 2-8 FG, 2-4 3FG, 4-6 FT, 7 rebounds, 4 assists

NOTABLES:

  • The Vikings outscored the Scots 18-8 in the 3rd quarter.
  • The Vikings move to a 2-2 record.
