MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - The No. 3 Berry College softball team completed their program-record regular season with a 2-0 victory of the Millsaps College Majors to complete the series sweep.
Berry's 35-2 record in the regular season is the best in program history.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Berry's Marie Collop once again faced Kayla Davidson of Millsaps, with the game remaining scoreless until the bottom of the sixth inning.
- The pitching battle was finally broken by Berry's Kayla Sangrey who sent her first career home run over the left field wall to give Berry with 2-0 lead.
- Collop faced just 25 batters in her seven innings of work, allowing no runs on just three hits.

NOTABLES:
- Berry set a slew of program records this year, but most notably set the record for overall wins and a perfect 17-0 SAA record.
- The Vikings secured the top seed in the tournament and will face the winner of BSC and Hendrix.
