Men's Soccer Handles Warriors 5-0 on Senior Day

ROME, Ga. — The Berry College men's soccer team capped Senior Day festivities on Sunday with a lopsided 5-0 victory over the Hendrix Warriors. The Vikings are now 9-2-2 overall and 3-1-2 in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA).

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Berry got off to a quick start in the 12th minute of play with a goal scored by Alec Jones.
  • Jack Giles then scored in the 17th minute off a deflection, giving the Vikings a 2-0 lead.
  • The Vikings scored again in the 36th minute with a goal by Alex Perry, assisted by Alec Jones. Berry led 3-0 at halftime
  • Zachary Ernst scored in the 53rd minute and soon after Steven Moore scored in the 58th with an assist by Jake Williamson, finalizing the score of 5-0.
  • Hendrix had just one shot the entire game, opposing to Berry's total of 34.
