MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Longtime head men's soccer coach, Richard Vardy, earned his 200th career victory this afternoon after Berry pulled out a 2-1 road win against Rhodes College.
Berry's Steven Moore tallied in the 68th off a pass from Jake Williamson to give Berry a 1-0 advantage. Rhodes’ William Mitchell then tied the game less than a minute later, finding the back of the net to tie the game at 1-1. Williamson rounded out the game with a game-winner off a pass from Alec Jones in the 82nd minute, ensuring Berry’s 2-1 victory.

• With the win, Berry improved to 4-5 overall, as well as 1-2 in the conference.

• The Lynx led the game in shots (17-13) and corner kicks (6-5).
Berry will play Hendrix in their next game on Sunday, Oct. 8 at 1:00pm in Conway, Ark.
