Men's Lacrosse Sets Offensive Record in 26-1 Rout of Oglethorpe

ATLANTA – Chris Berchock tallied six times, tying a single-game program record, as the Berry College men's lacrosse team upended Oglethorpe University 26-1 in a Southern Athletic Association (SAA) matchup on Saturday afternoon.

Berry's 26 goals set the team single-game program record, previously set against Oglethorpe on March 1st of last season.

The Vikings scored 15 times in the first 30 minutes of play, leading 15-0 at halftime. Berry then added 11 additional goals in the second half to ensure the 26-1 victory. Berchock's six goals led all scorers in the outing, with six other Vikings scoring at least twice in the contest. Berry's defense was dominant, allowing just one shot on the day.

Oglethorpe's Braden Draucek scored the lone Stormy Petrel goal on the day, tallying in the fourth quarter to prevent the shutout. Kevin Murphy earned the complete-game win in goal for Berry, finishing the contest allowing just one goal to lead Berry to an 9-3 overall record, as well as a 3-1 conference record.
