Men's Lacrosse Edged at John Carroll

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Justin Westbrook and Christian Akers each scored two goals, but the Berry College men's lacrosse team fell to John Carroll University, 7-6, on Tuesday.

The loss dropped BC to 4-4. The win improved JCU to 2-2.

The game was tied, 3-3, at halftime. The Vikes then fell behind 5-4 heading to the final quarter and could never regain the lead.

Jake Emche and Chris Berchok both tallied one goal for the BC offense. Akers and Quentin Johnson each added one assist apiece.

For John Carroll, both Dakota Thomas and Logan Calhoun tallied twice.

Nick Voso (3-3) took the complete-game loss in goal for Berry. Voso collected 14 saves in the loss.

Berry will travel to Chestertown, Maryland to compete against Washington College on Saturday at 1 p.m.
