Berry led 5-2 at halftime. Hall had 3 goals and 2 assists for BC. Maxwell Smerka scored once and had 2 assists. Quentin Johnson had 2 fourth quarter goals, including the game's final tally with 59 seconds remaining.
Tilka, a freshman making his first collegiate start, improved to 1-0. The Vikings allowed a goal in each of the first 3 periods and outscored Alma 4-0 in the final quarter. Viking defender Jack Chase caused 4 Alma turnovers and scooped 6 ground balls for the home team.
Berry had the edge in shots, 28-22. The Scots, however, led in ground balls (30-29) and faceoffs (17-4).
Austin Irrer netted a goal and dished 2 helpers for the Scots. Al Lesperance started in the cage for Alma. He made 10 saves and allowed 9 Berry goals.
