Men's lacrosse fell at Sewanee

SEWANEE, Tenn. -- Sewanee defeated visiting Berry College, 15-7, on Saturday. The Tigers moved to 8-3 and 5-0 in the Southern Athletic Association. The Vikings dropped to 8-3, 3-2.

Cory Hall tallied three times and Max Smerka notched two goals and had one assist for BC.

The contest was close early. Kyle Lombardi assisted Smerka to tie the game, 4-4, with 8:18 remaining in the first half. Sewanee then scored the next four goals and led 8-4 at halftime.

For the game, the Tigers led in shots (42-29), ground balls (40-31), and face-offs (16-9).

Jordan Boreman had nine saves in the cage for the visitors. His counterpart, Tommy Healy, stopped 15 Berry shots. 

Michael Morris scored six times for the Tigers.

Berry hosts Birmingham-Southern on Friday.
