Berry handled Hendrix, 16-7

CONWAY, Ark. -- Cory Hall had six points and Christian Akers added five as Berry College won at Hendrix, 16-7, on Sunday.

The Vikings improved to 8-2 and 3-1 in the Southern Athletic Association. The Warriors dropped to 6-6 and 0-2.

A total of 10 players had points for the visitors. Hall recorded four goals and two helpers. Akers had three scores and two assists. Miller Hollstein contributed one goal and three assists for BC. 

The Vikings led 4-2 after the first quarter, and 9-5 at halftime. For the game, the Vikes led in shots (40-32) and clears (21-11). The Warriors led in ground balls (39-31) and faceoffs (19-7).

Jordan Boreman (8-2) had four saves and to the win. Nick Voso played the final 12 minutes. He had seven saves and allowed not goals. On defense, Patrick Towner forced four Warrior turnovers.

Carson Boone tallied twice for Hendrix.

The Vikings play at Sewanee on Saturday.
