Vikings Win at Birmingham-Southern, 13-7

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Nat Morey, Kyle LombardiCory Hall and Bryan Byers all scored two goals as Berry College won at Birmingham-Southern, 13-7, on Friday night.

Berry improved to 10-4, and 5-1 in the Southern Athleic Association. BSC dropped to 5-9, 3-3.

Berry led 4-3 after one quarter. The visitors then out scored the Panthers 3-0 in the second period and led 7-3 at the half. Both clubs scored twice in the third stanza. BC scored four times to BSC's two in the final 15 minutes.

Berry led in shots (33-31) and ground balls (43-38). The Panthers, however, won 16-23 face offs.

Jordan Boreman had 10 saves for the Vikings. His counterpart, Andrew Huffman, stopped nine Berry shots.

Berry's win over BSC was its first in three tries. BC plays at Millsaps College on Sunday at 2 p.m. EST. A win by the Vikings secures at least a share of the SAA regular season championship.
