Elmore Tied for Second, Men's Golf Third at Emory Invite

STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. – Ryan Elmore sits tied for second, as the Berry College men’s golf team finished round one at the Discover Dekalb Emory Invite tied for third overall on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • As a team, Berry sits at +14 overall, tied for third.
  • Elmore led the Vikings, finishing round one at an even 70 to sit tied for second.
  • Joel Maire shot a 73 (+3) to finish tied for 13th on the day.
  • Eddy Black finished tied for 22nd with a 74 (+4), and Cole Ackerman finished tied for 51st after shooting a 77 (+7).
  • Press Clark rounded out scoring for the Vikings, shooting an 82 (+12) to finish round one tied for 78th.

NOTABLES:

  • Huntingdon College sits at the top of both the team and individual leaderboards.
  • The Hawks finished at 289, just two strokes better than the second-place Emory University Eagles, and Huntingdon’s Will Thrash will enter round two play at a first place 69 (-1).
