ROME, Ga. — The Berry College baseball team strung together 14 hits on the day, but the Vikings fell to the Lynx of Rhodes College 11-7 in the first game of the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Championship series.

Berry will need to take both games tomorrow in order to secure the SAA title. First pitch is set for 12:00 p.m.

Dylan Beasley and Devin Post opened up scoring in the contest, adding back-to-back RBI doubles in the bottom of the second inning to give Berry an early 2-0 lead. Rhodes answered, plating five runs in the top of the third inning highlighted by Nick Bosma's bases-clearing triple.
