Baseball Slowed by Rhodes 11-1 on Saturday

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Vikings baseball team dropped the final game of the series against the Rhodes Lynx 11-1 on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Rhodes jumped out to an early start, leading 3-0 by the end of the second inning.
• Five singles and an error in the fifth expanded the Lynx's lead to 8-0.
• Austin Haight and Alfred Francis then added back-to-back base hits to set the Vikings up for their sole run of the game.
• A Rhodes' throwing error brought Haight home to move the score to 8-1.
• The Lynx added two doubles, as well as a single, in the bottom of the sixth inning to ensure the 11-1 win.

NOTABLES:
• Ben Coker took the loss on the mound for Berry, tossing 3.1 innings. Coker allowed six hits and three runs, while striking out three Lynx.
• Berry moves to 13-11 and 4-5 on the year.
• Rhodes improves to 13-11 and 6-3.
