AUBURN, Ala. - The Vikings started the new year with a win as the High Point Team at Auburn University, besting 7 other teams including 2nd and 3rd place University of Georgia and host Auburn University.
Fences Results:
-Emily Sudderth and Meaghan Kursman both placed 2nd in their section of Open fences.
-Ellie Weinreb claimed 4th place in Open fences.
- Shelby Williams took an impressive 3rd place in Intermediate fences.
-Grace Bishop finished 4th in Limit fences.
Flat Results:
-In Open flat, Weinreb and Kursman took 1st and 2nd place, respectively, and Sudderth claimed 5th.
-Williams held 5th place in Intermediate flat.
-In Limit flat, Berry took 2nd through 4th with finishes by Bishop, Fiona Albertson and Rette Solomon (who also qualified for Regionals).
-Elissa Homer was the high finisher with a 1st place victory in Novice flat.
-The Vikings finished strong as Axa Stevens took the 1st place ribbon in Introductory flat, clinching the victory for the team.
The Vikings will be back in action at home on February 10-11, hosting a hunt seat show on the 10th, and a double header western event on the 11th.
