Baseball Announces Incoming Class

MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - Berry College head baseball coach David Beasley is proud to announce the incoming student-athletes that will be joining the Vikings baseball team for the 2023 season.

Cole Porter
(Valdosta, Ga., Infield, Valdosta High School)
Porter joins the Vikings after batting .322 with 26 stolen bases his senior year. He was named Region 1-AAAAAA Academic Player of the Year and AAAAAA All-State Honrable Mention. He is the son of Brad and Kimberly Porter and plans to major in Education.

Harrison Blalock
(Fernandia Beach, Fla., Outfielder, Fernandia Beach High School)
Blalock comes to Berry after winning Defensive Player of the Year and being named to the All-County Team. The son is Brett and Lisa Blalock, he plans to major in Sports Communication.

Michael Clark Jr
(McDonough Ga., 1st Baseman, Eagles Landing Christian Academy)
Clark comes to the Vikings after being named2nd team All-Region his senior year. The son os Michael and Dijuanna Clark, he plans to major in Sports Administration.

Trevor Childers
(Fairmont, Ga., RHP/3rd Baseman, Sonoraville High School)
Childers comes to the Vikings after a stellar senior year. He was named First Team All-Region, Second Team All-State, while recording a perfect record of 11-0 with a .93 ERA. He is the son of Brian and Erin Childers and plans to major in Computer Science.

Aubrey Higgins
(Cornelia, Ga., RHP, Tallulah Falls High School)
Higgins joining Berry after setting the school record for strikeouts in a season. The son of Sarah and Don Higgins, he plans to major in Engineering.

(Madison, Ga., RHP, Morgan County High School)
Coody joins the Vikings after receiving both All-Region and All-State recognition, while also being a GA Top 100 member. The son of Cameron and Beth Coody, he plans to major in Computer Science.

Blake Robinson
(Acworth, Ga., Outfield, Sneed State Community College)
Robinson comes to Berry from Snead State Community College where he hit .333 last season. The son of Chrystal and Eric Robinson, he plans to major in Sports Administration.

Brady Greene
(Green Cove Springs, Fla., Infield/RHP, Clay High School)
Greene joining Berry after hitting .280 while still holding a .89 ERA. He also was top 10% academically in his graduating class. The son of Tim and Amy Greene, he plans to major in Economics.

Brenden O'Sullivan
(Canton, Ga., LHP, Cherokee High School)
O'Sullivan comes to the Vikings from right down the road in Canton, Ga. The son of Sean and Vivian O'Sullivan, he plans to major in Biochemistry.

Carson Atkins
(Rome, Ga., Outfield, Rome High School)
Atkins joins the Vikings from down the street at Rome High School where he was named Second Team All-Region and First Team All-Area his senior year. The son of Michaelle and Glen Atkins, he plans to major in Business.

Case Davis
(Lafayette, Ga., Infield, Lafayette High School)
Davis comes to Berry after batting .282 with 3 homeruns and 19 RBI's his senior year, while also taking on the title of All-Region Honorable Mention. The son of Billy and Jill Davis, he plans to take the pre-dental track.

Charles Pulaski
(Savannah, Ga., Outfield, Benedictine Military School)
Pulaski joins the Vikings after hitting .344 his senior year while also earning First Team All-Region Honors. The son of Robin and Allan Pulaski, he plans to major in Business.

Chase Edmonds
(Goshen, Ky., Catcher, North Oldham High School)
Edmonds joins Berry after posting a .462 batting average with 42 RBI's, and 13 doubles while also tallying 8th region player of year and 2nd team All-State. He is the son of Kevin and Christy Edmonds.

Garrett Lang
(Macon, Ga., Infield/RHP, Stratford Academy)
Lang comes to Berry after batting .314 with 18 RBI's and tallying a 2.1 ERA with 29 strikeouts. He was named All-Region while also being a four sport athlete. He is the son of Doug and Trina Lang.

Jacob Bridges
(Loganville, Ga., Catcher, Archer High School)
Bridges joins Berry after batting .349 with 22 RBI's in his senior year. He was also named Gwinnett County's April player of the month. He is the son of Shannon and Joel Bridges and plans to major in Business.

Jacob Ray
(Adairsville, Ga., Outfield/LHP, Cartersville High School)
Ray comes to the Vikings after being both a football and baseball athlete in high school. He is the son of James and Jennifer Ray.

Jon Strydom
(Marietta, Ga., RHP, Pope High School)
Strydom joins Berry after posting a solid 2.76 ERA his senior year and capping it off with a State Championship victory. He is the son of Deb and Fritz Strydom and he plans to major in Finance.

Riley Uhls
(Lexington, Ky., Outfield, West Jessamine High School)
Uhls comes to the Vikings after racking up a .383 batting average with 35 RBI's last year. He is the son of Melanie and Jason Uhls and plans to major in mechanical engineering while at Berry.

Stephen Slezak
(Grayson, Ga., LHP, Grayson High School)
Slezak comes to the Vikings after posting a 2.87 ERA in his senior year. He was also voted First Team All-Region and Gwinett All-County Honorable mention for his play throughout the season. He is the son of Bob and Candi Slezak and plans to major in Sports Administration.

Tyler Roakes
(Charlotte, N.C., Infielder, Carmel Christian School)
Roakes joins Berry after earning All-Charlotte Baseball Honors and posting a .395 batting average. He is the son of Tripp and Grace Roakes and plans to major in business while at Berry.

Marco Cabrera
(Marietta, Ga., RHP, Pope High School
Cabrera joins the Vikings from Pope High School where he capped off his senior year with a State Championsip win. He is the son of Lisa and Dave Cabrera and plans to major in Sports Administration.
