ROME, Ga. -- The Berry College volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 victory over visiting Sewanee at the Cage Center on Saturday. Set scores were 25-18, 25-22, 25-20.

The Vikings improved to 15-5 and 6-3 in Southern Athletic Association play. The Tigers fell to 9-9, 2-6.

Katie O'Rourke had a stellar game with 18 kills, a .580 hitting percentage and three blocks. Jessica Gum notched 11 kills and hit .304. Katie Truluck recorded 13 digs and Lauren Schmitz passed 41 assists for the home team.

"I thought set one was a great reflection of the work we have been putting in over the last two weeks," said Vikings' Head Coach Mika Robinson. "We played very 'low-error,' but did so aggressively."

For the match, Berry hit .266 to Sewanee's .170.

Diamond Stewart paced the Tigers with 12 kills.

Berry hosts Centre College on Sunday. The match begins at 2 p.m.
