Brandon Williamson is entering his third year as Head Athletic Trainer for the Berry College Sports Medicine Department. He joined Berry’s staff as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in 2009 after serving at North Georgia College & State University in Dahlonega, Ga., where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training in 2007 and a Master's Degree in Education in 2009.
As an undergraduate, Williamson played baseball for North Georgia before entering the athletic training program. While in the athletic training program, he assisted with multiple high school and college coverage while performing rehabs in the clinic at North Georgia. He also had the opportunity to do several rotations with team doctors, orthopedists, and physical therapists.
In his first year as graduate assistant athletic trainer for NGCSU he covered all sports at Dawson County High School full time. In his second year, he covered men's basketball and cheerleading for North Georgia, while also helping with day-to-day operations. At Berry, Williamson's primary responsibilities are with the baseball, cross country, and golf teams.
Williamson is originally from Blue Ridge, Ga. but lived in Dahlonega for the seven years prior to joining Berry's staff. Brandon, his wife Katherine, son Brody Lane, and daughter Addilyn Mae, along with their two labrador retrievers Champ and Bailey, are currently living in Kingston, Georgia.
